termed the "Garrett Farm Patrol." All we have is his military
affiliation, born 1837 in Germany, died 9/13/1904 in Colden
Center NY, and an article that appeared in the March 29, 1892,
*Buffalo Express* after reporter B. J. Hollister interviewed
Dietz about the capture of Booth.

Dietz from Peru. Thanks Guillermo and Fatima for responding. We
are very glad to hear from you!! They want to know if we have
documentation regarding Christian Dietz their ancestor. We are
currently researching this to see if there is a connection here.
I was just advised by a friend that is a german genealogy expert
that some people went from Germany to America then decided to
go to the west coast of America. They traveled by ship around
Cape Horn and settled in South America when they stopped in those
ports. Very interesting!!! We'll keep you posted. |
